November 16 Update

With the season approaching, this week's bulletin focuses on Books of 5 Guest Passes, Guest Reservations, Exchange Tickets and the Craigleith Alpine Sunday Ski Across - good details on how these features work. Plus some other fun stuff!

Badge Photos - Tomorrow is Last Chance to Submit!

If you would like to update your photo on your Craigleith badge, please be sure to update it not later than this Friday November 17th.

You can either update a selfie to your member profile, or email your photo - and those of your other family members - to [email protected].
Member pick up of badges will begin Wednesday December 6th and daily from then on, at the FRONT DESK, BASE LODGE, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

And don't forget to complete the waiver in advance - online or via the APP!

Join the Craigleith "Events Team"!

We are looking for assistance with execution of some of our fabulous events planned for the coming season - specifically help at registration at the door for ticketed events, coat check, and general assistance where needed.
These will be paid positions, ranging from $14 to $19 per hour depending on the event and the required tasks.

Events currently seeking assistance include those offered during the Christmas - New Years break, during the evenings.

If you are between the ages of 14 and 18, looking for something fun to do and get paid for it, please email [email protected] and provide:

a brief resume or list any work experience
your availability during the season (i.e. Christmas / New Years break, Saturday later afternoon, evenings etc.)
any other helpful information about your interest in helping out with events.

We will make a list of everyone interested, then direct email everyone with details about events where we have opportunities to help out, dates, times, the task and rate of pay offered.

Please reply as soon as possible and by December 1st at latest.

"Books of 5" Guest Tickets

Books of 5 Guest Passes are now available for sale at the Base Lodge front desk.

To order, email [email protected] and provide your member number and the number of books you would like to purchase (maximum of 6 per member family per season).

Cost per Pre-Paid Book of 5 Guest Passes: $400.00 including H.S.T.

Please note the following:

Books are available for purchase until January 7th 2024.
There is a purchase limit of 6 books per family membership per season.
Passes have no expiry date.
Books will be available for pick up at the Front Desk in December with member packages containing member badges. (Please note: books will not be mailed).
Cost of book(s) will be billed to the member account at the time order is received at the Club office, and payment is due upon receipt of the statement.
The Club is not responsible for lost books or tickets.
The books are non-refundable.
Each guest is limited to a maximum of six visits from the first weekend in January to the first weekend in March. It is the member's responsibility to ensure that their guests adhere to this policy. Members should advise Club management of any abuse of this policy.
Advance Guest Reservations are required for guests using a pre-paid voucher. A reservation must be made either online, or at the front desk, prior to arrival at the Club and redemption of the pre-paid voucher at the ticket desk. This policy applies to vouchers purchased after May 1, 2017.

Guest Reservations

Guests are welcome at the Club! Here's a reminder of how to make reservations:

Guest reservations are available up to 8 days in advance of the date of reservation, online or in person at the front desk.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation day will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee for each individual guest registered on the reservation, regardless of the category of ticket. The charges will be applied to the sponsoring member’s account. Note the change to the cancellation fee this year.
Cancellations must be made by clicking the cancel button online in your reservation or via email to [email protected] - Phone or voicemail cancelations will not be accepted.
Guest reservations are required for every day the Club is open including weekends, holidays, and midweek days.
Only reservations made by the Member, in person at the Front Desk, will be accepted after 8:00am on Saturdays and Sundays and during Christmas and March Break – if the guest reservation limit has not been reached.
Guest Reservations are required for guests using a pre-paid voucher and all aspects of the guest reservations policy will apply. A pre-paid voucher cannot be used to cover the cancellation fee.
Members who purchased Books of 5 before May 1, 2017, are asked to make a guest reservation as a courtesy, to assist with managing guest visits especially on busy days. However, vouchers sold as "No Reservation" tickets prior to May 1, 2017, will be honoured without a reservation.
All reservations must be made by the sponsoring Member.
Each Club Family Membership is permitted to sponsor a maximum of six guest visits per operating day.
Each guest is limited to a maximum of six visits from the first weekend in January to the first weekend in March, on Saturdays and Sundays. This includes guest visits made through the reservation system or through "No Reservation" passes. It is the Member's responsibility to ensure their guests adhere to this policy.
Members are responsible for their guests' conduct while they are on Club property.
Please note guest reservations are not available on Men's or Ladies Day.

Exchange Tickets

The Exchange Ticket program will open January 12th, 2024.

Exchange tickets will be available on weekends and holidays with the exception of the Christmas/New Year holiday.

Craigleith members are able to obtain exchange tickets for the following Clubs: Alpine, Beaver Valley, Caledon, Devil’s Glen, Georgian Peaks and Osler.

Both Craigleith Ski Club and the exchange club must be open on the day of the visit.

Exchange tickets are available only to current, validated badgeholder members.

Members will be able to obtain exchange tickets one month in advance of the day of the visit. For example, if you would like an exchange ticket for January 7^th, you can book it as early as December 7^th. An exchange ticket for February 4^th can be booked as early as January 4^th.

Exchange tickets can be reserved at the Base Lodge Front Desk, in person or over the telephone, but not through email or voice mail.

The private clubs have worked together and developed a shared program to track exchange tickets, which means you no longer have to come to the front desk to pick up a paper copy of an exchange – once you have reserved your exchange, you simply go to the Club that you booked your exchange ticket for.
Each member must wear their validated badge to the club they are visiting.

There is a limit of 10 exchanges available per club per day.

Members are limited to 2 visits to each club per season. Exchange passes cannot be cancelled if not utilized & will count as 1 of your 2 visits.

Exchanges are not available for instructors, coaches etc. (Blue badge holders).

Exchanges are not permitted for CASI, CSIA, CSCF and all other courses.

Alpine - Craigleith Ski Across

Once again, Craigleith and Alpine will participate in our neighbourly tradition, with the Sunday Alpine / Craigleith Ski Across.

Beginning Sunday January 7th, Craigleith members with a valid 2023/24 season badge will be able to ski over to Alpine and check out their trails, with Alpine members able to visit Craigleith.

Please note the following:

The Alpine – Craigleith exchange is available to members only and is not open to guests.
Members from both clubs are required to wear their respective badges to show proof of membership in order to participate in the Sunday Exchange.
Alpine Program classes are requested to not participate in the Sunday Exchange.
