FREESKI INTERCLUB/GROMS OPTIONS:

This program is for individuals interested in Freestyle skiing and training on a variety of features in the terrain park. Emphasis will also be on developing general freestyle ski technique. This is a 27-day program. Participants will have the opportunity to travel to other local clubs to check out their parks in a fun event atmosphere. The program will include 3 Interclub events and an optional night rail jam at Alpine. Skiers should be comfortable in the park environment and competent parallel skiers. Twin tips will be required for entry into this program. A $100 Interclub entry fee is included in the cost of the program. A calendar of events will be distributed to participants at the beginning of the Program. Team apparel will be available for purchase. We require a minimum of 5 participants to allow this program to run. Program description is subject to change based on enrollment numbers. Program will follow Freestyle Ski Ontario guidelines. Freestyle Ontario membership fees are included in the program.  Friday Training is available at $65.00/session.  

Participants enrolled are automatically enrolled in our Craigleith House League.

This program is available for children ages 8 – 15yrs old. All ages as of Dec. 31, 2019.

Participants will be grouped based on ability.

The carving/racing program is designed for those carving enthusiasts interested in taking their snowboarding to the next level. The program will run Saturday and Sunday, morning and afternoon. The program will include gate training and will follow Snowboard Ontario Provincial Speed Series event schedule.  A calendar of events will be distributed to participants at the beginning of the program.  Snowboard Ontario membership fee is included in the cost of the program. Team apparel will be available for purchase. We require a minimum of 5 participants to allow this program to run. This is a 27-day program. Friday Training is available at $65.00/session. Program description is subject to change based on enrollment numbers.

Association Fees, Event Fees, Trampoline Training, Travel & Expenses are not included in the program pricing.

ESCARPMENT FREESTYLE SKI TEAM:

The focus of the program will be to develop skiers that have the fundamental skills and awareness to compete at the provincial Timber Tour Slopestyle circuit with the goal of qualifying for the nationals and larger tour events.  Previous competition experience required.

 
Athletes will be asked to register with Freestyle Canada (additional Insurance)

This program will include:

• 47 days on snow at select OEFT clubs (Alpine, Beaver Valley, Georgian Peaks, Devil's Glen and Craigleith)
• Holiday Camp December 27 - January 5 (excluding Jan. 1)
• Friday - Sunday from January 10 - March 8
• March Break camp March 14 - 22
• March 28 - 29
• 1/2-day seminar for parents and athletes: registration, orientation and expectations
• Attend all FSO Timber Tour Slopestyle stops in 2019
• Attend Blue Mountain's Frozen Rail Jam

ESCARPMENT SNOWBOARD FREESTYLE TEAM

The Escarpment team is for athletes who are ready to graduate from the Interclub “Groms” series of events to compete at the Provincial level. The skill level required for the Escarpment team is performing 360’s confidently in both directions and attempting 540’s over medium jump features. On rails and boxes athletes must confidently be able to slide both frontside and backside. The Escarpment Team is made up of athletes from the Escarpment clubs. The team will train at these clubs and take advantage of the best parks and training environments. The training and events schedule will be followed as closely as possible but may change depending on the condition of the parks. Focus will be on Snowboard Ontario provincial events.
