Light up Little John!
Craigleith has entered Mackenzie’s Top Peak Contest with a chance to win $50,000 to upgrade Little John’s lighting (our Peak) so we can enhance our popular Thursday Night Training series and offer more exciting events like the GDHL Dual Slalom and the 2020 NorAms.
Let’s rally together as a community to win!
How you can earn points:
- Vote for Craigleith’s “Peak” on the Mackenzie Top Peak website https://tinyurl.com/yckn24s5. One per household.
- Post on Instagram, Facebook and/or Twitter using the hashtag #toppeakcraigleith2022

North Lodge Food Service
We’ve heard some great feedback regarding the new menu at the North Lodge. The burgers and “Craiggers” especially! Food service at the North will be available up to this Sunday March 6 th. After that, the lodge will be open daily but without food service.
Vaccine Policy to Remain for the Season
The provincial government has announced that the vaccine passport requirement will be removed as of March 1st, however businesses have the option to continue their own vaccine requirements according to their policy.
The Club’s vaccination policy will remain in effect through to the end of the season. The full policy can be accessed via the Club website or by clicking here.
The government has not changed the law regarding the requirement to wear a mask indoors. Please remember to wear your mask indoors, unless you are seated and consuming food or beverages.
Upcoming By-Law Review
The Governance Committee has begun a review of the Club's by-law and related documents. This is because the Not-for-profit Corporations Act (Ontario), referred to as ONCA, which was passed in 2010, was finally proclaimed in force on 19 October 2022ONCA applies immediately, but the Club has three years to restate its letters patent as articles of incorporation and revise its by-law, in each case to comply with ONCA. The required review of the by-law is also an opportunity to consider changes that aren’t required by ONCA but are raised by members or identified by the Governance Committee.
Members have been asked to submit questions or suggestions concerning by-law revisions to
[email protected]. The deadline was set for 28 February 2022, however submissions this week as a result of this reminder are welcome. We don't want to change the Club fundamentally, but we really don't want last minute surprises. Please read the current by-law on the Club website before making suggestions so you understand what may be relevant. (The price of beer at the bar isn't a subject for the by-law.) Please also be patient regarding answers, as it may be next season before full discussion takes place.
See you on the weekend!
