March 24 Update
Happy spring! And welcome "spring" weather. It's that time of year when we get some sunny mild days, followed by rain, freezing rain, snow . . . then hopefully followed by sunny mild days!
All of this means variable ski conditions, however our operating plan and goal remains getting to Easter Weekend.
The Club is open today (Thursday) and Friday with the National and Little John lifts operating from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For the weekend, we anticipate all lifts will be operating, including the V-hill chair, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
After this weekend, the Club is open weekends only, lifts and trails to be confirmed via the email bulletin in advance of each weekend.
Still some fun to be had at the Club, so please take a moment to review this week's bulletin:
Masks and Vaccinations
The provincial government announced that on March 21, the provincial mask mandate would be lifted. Therefore, at the Club, wearing masks both inside and outside (i.e. on lifts, in lift lines) will be voluntary, not required, for members and staff. The choice to wear a mask is a personal decision, and we ask that all members respect an individual's choice to wear or not to wear a mask.
Completing a daily health check prior to arriving at the Club is no longer a requirement, however, as a reminder that for everyone's continued health and safety, please do not visit the Club if you exhibit the stated symptoms of COVID or otherwise do not feel well.
Please note the Club will continue to require members and guests to be fully vaccinated in order to be on the Club property.
Skinanigans Photos
What a great day we had and the rain held off for most of the day! The costumes and decorations were great!

Playroom Extended By One Weekend to April 2nd/3rd
Our youngest members – and their parents - enjoyed an excellent season at the playroom this year. Due to having to be closed for a couple weekends in January, we are extending the playroom open dates by one weekend to April 2nd & April 3rd

Puddle Jump – Postponed to Saturday April 2
The weather looks good for skiing on Saturday, but Puddle Jump? Not so much. A bit cool for blasting through the water, and a bit cool for spectators. So, we are going to postpone to next Saturday, April 2nd and hope for a better forecast then.
Lost and Found
We have accumulated a number of items over the season, which will now be put out on some tables in the Starbucks area, to give members a better opportunity to see if any of the items belong to them. Lots of single mitts or gloves, hats, headbands, neck warmers, some pants and jackets too. Take a few moments to see if any items belong to you. Note that valuable items such as jewelry or keys will remain behind the front desk. Please no “shopping”!
Town Hall April 27th via ZOOM
The Club will be hosting a Town Hall on Wednesday April 27th, 7:00 pm via ZOOM. Agenda, sign up details etc. will be provided closer to the meeting date. Mark your calendars!
Accessing / Cleaning Out Your Lockers
When your season comes to an end, we ask you to remove all items from your locker(s) – including all items stored on top of lockers - to allow for annual maintenance and cleaning.
The exception to this is for those members who select the Off Season Locker Program – please see the details outlined in the next section below.
We ask that you also remove your lock(s) however, all shelving, hooks and customized attachments can remain in the locker, providing you plan to pay for the same locker next year.
Members with lockers in the South Lodge should note that all lockers must be emptied by the end of the season, including locks and personal accessories
If you know you are not planning to use the same locker next year, please remove all belongings and advise Cindy Brown via email at [email protected] , so that you are not billed for the locker with your annual dues, and the locker can be put back into inventory and assigned to another member for next season.
Off Season Locker Rental Program
We are once again offering the locker program that provides members with the option to leave belongings in their locker during the off season. Here are the details:
- the new program applies to Family Cupboard lockers in the Base, and North Lodges only. All lockers in the South Lodge must be completely empty by the end of the ski season.
- members who choose to leave their items in any of the above noted lockers during the off season are asked to advise or Cindy Brown ([email protected]) and provide their locker combination
- please leave only skis, snowboards, snowshoes, helmets, boots – we suggest you take home all clothing items as they may become fragrant and moldy (if left damp) during the season – and please be absolutely certain to throw out any perishable items to prevent infiltration of bugs, mice or other nasty stuff
- those who leave items stored in above noted lockers will be automatically invoiced $100 HST after June 1, 2022 for a summer rental /storage fee
- members are automatically assigned the same locker each season and regular locker fees will be billed accordingly with annual dues, unless lockers have been cancelled by the member
- requests to change lockers should be sent to Cindy Brown during the offseason –[email protected]
- members with skis and snowboards in the South Lodge Ski Locker building are asked to remove those items at the end of their season – we advise against leaving items in this building over the summer as it does get very warm in there, which is not great for skis or boards – and we conduct annual cleaning and maintenance which requires the building to be empty
Any questions on this program please contact Cindy Brown via
[email protected]
See you on the weekend!
