COVID-19 Protocols Updated - January 5th, 2022
Members,
In our last COVID-19 Update, we announced protocols that would be in effect until January 7 and informed you that the Board and management would be reviewing the situation weekly, at a minimum.
It had been our intention to announce a revised COVID -19 operating plan this week. Unfortunately, given Premier Ford’s announcement on January 3 banning indoor dining for at least the next three weeks, we are unable to implement the revised protocols at this time.
On a positive note, the government announcement did not place further restrictions on our operations beyond what we are already doing. As a result we will continue with the current operating plan for the next three weeks and are hopeful that we can announce a lessening of restrictions at the end of the month.
As a reminder:
- Indoor consumption of food and beverages is not permitted under the revised government protocols
- Take-out will be available from the Base Lodge cafeteria and bar, North Lodge cafeteria (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and the food truck adjacent to the Base Lodge deck (Saturday & Sunday). Tables and chairs will be available outside on the decks of all lodges and picnic tables will also be set up near the decks of the Base and North lodges.
- Lodges will be open for members and guests to access washrooms, lockers and food services. Chairs will be set up in each lodge to allow for warm up breaks (please keep to 15 minutes maximum) however food & beverage must be consumed outside.
- Alpine Programs will continue as scheduled with the South Lodge utilized for warm up breaks for the U10 and under programs and the North Lodge utilized for U12 programs. A program specific email will be send to all Alpine Program participants within the next 24 hours.
- The Playroom can continue to operate as scheduled.
- Guest reservations will continue to be available but on a limited basis, to manage skier numbers and ensure members have priority access to lodge facilities. The number of guest reservations may also vary week to week based on events that may be taking place such as interclub ski racing, and to accommodate inactive members, who are not required to make an advance reservation.
- Squire John’s on site shop will continue to operate every day the Club is open with 50% capacity.
For your health and safety, and for the health and safety of others:
- Wear a mask! Buffs are not an acceptable option as they do not provide adequate protection.
- Government regulations mandate the wearing of masks indoors regardless of vaccination status.
- Masks are highly recommended in lift lines and on chairlifts and are required when it is not possible to maintain physical distancing of 2 meters.
- Wear your badge both outside for the lifts and while indoors. It is the verification that you are fully vaccinated – plus you need it to charge food and beverage purchases to your account.
- Click here for the government website that outlines the COVID-19 protocols for isolation, close contact and testing.
- We ask that you continue to complete the Daily Health Check before coming to the Club as it is a requirement of the provincial government.
Our Craigleith community is only as safe as each of us make it, so we ask you to please consider the health and safety of others when following our COVID guidelines for operating the Club.
