Please note that the swimming pool is registered with the province as a “Class B” pool. This classification means that all bathers must be over the age of 12 to be in the pool enclosure unless accompanied by someone 16 years of age or older!

LIGHTNING & THUNDER: 30/30 Rule.

- If you cannot count to 30 before another thunderstrike, LEAVE POOL AREA FOR 30 MINUTES. If after 30 minutes you can count to 30, you may go back into pool.

- IF YOU SEE LIGHTNING EXIT IMMEDIATELY FOR 30 MINUTES. After 30 minutes, if no more lightning, you may go back in the pool.

1. All swimmers must take a shower in the locker rooms before entering the swimming pool.

2. No person infected with a communicable disease or having open sores on his/her body shall enter the pool.

3. All swimmers must wear proper swimming attire. No cut-offs, gym shorts, under-garments or street clothes may be worn in the swimming pool.

4. No food or drink (except water) will be allowed in the pool area.
Excreting bodily waste, spitting, spouting water, or blowing nose in the pool area is prohibited.

5. No person shall bring a glass container onto the deck or in the pool.

6. No running on the deck.

7. No dangerous horseplay, tag, punching, or general “rough-housing” in pool area or in dressing rooms.

8. No diving is permitted.

9. No pets allowed.

10. Respect posted schedule.

11. Sign in to pool with amount of guests/members on sign-in sheet in change room.

12. Put your umbrella down before exiting.

13. DO NOT REMOVE BUOY LINE - THIS IS A PUBLIC HEALTH REGULATION!

14. Any disrespectful words, pictures, graffiti, etc. on property will result in immediate membership cancellation and removal from property.

15. Please respect all members and guests and use appropriate language and volume!

16. Any infractions of Club rules will result in a warning and/or suspension of privileges at the discretion of Club management.

3. Pool Closes: Monday, September 7, 2026

4. Multi Sports Camp utilizes pool from 11:30am – 12:30pm on the following weeks:
- July 6th - 10th
- August 4th - 7th
- August 17th - 21st

SWIMMING LESSONS

Learn to swim or improve your skills in a safe and encouraging environment with our qualified aquatic instructors. Whether you are new to swimming or want to improve your swimming techniques, we have lessons for all ages and abilities.

Private lessons are designed to assist you to overcome fears or master a skill on a one to one basis, and allows for a flexible schedule.

RATES:
1/2 Hour Lesson: $40.00
1 Hour Lesson: $80.00

Chantal Abbott
My name is Chantal Abbott, and this is my fifth year teaching swim lessons! I have worked with swimmers of all ages, from infant to adults, and I am comfortable supporting swimmers with a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities. My goal is to help swimmers build strong fundamentals and improve their technique, while having fun in the water. My background as a competitive swimmer with the Collingwood Clippers has given me a strong understanding of proper technique, which allows me to quickly spot areas for improvement and help swimmers make meaningful corrections. COURT BOOKINGS

LIGHTNING & THUNDER: 30/30 Rule.

3. Courts can be booked seven days in advance.

4. Unlimited bookings per week.

5. All players’ names must be entered onto the court booking prior to playing.

6. “Guest” & “TBD” cannot be listed once time of play has started. A guest fee for each booking with "Guest/Client" or "TBD" will be charged.

7. If a booking does not list a minimum of two players, the booking member will be charged one guest fee.

8. No block bookings.

TENNIS RULES, ETIQUETTE, CODE OF CONDUCT & POLICIES

TENNIS ETIQUETTE:
Do not walk behind a court while a rally is in progress.
Move quickly past an active court when a pause in play occurs.
Close access doors immediately after entering or exiting the courts.
Return balls which come onto your court from another court as quickly as possible, but always wait until their point ends.
Ball hoppers/machines are not permitted between 8am and 6pm or when leagues are in play.
Maximum two players on the court when ball hoppers are being used.
Please ensure that the gates to the courts are locked when you leave if you are the last to leave.
In consideration for others, please do not use loud or offensive language.
Use alcohol responsibly.
Keep the Club free of litter.
DRESS CODE:
To maintain a standard of decorum and consistency in line with traditional tennis attire, all players are required to wear appropriate athletic clothing on the courts.
Tops must provide full coverage and be designed as standard tennis or athletic shirts.
Undergarments, including sports bras, crop tops, or similar garments intended as base layers, are not considered appropriate outerwear.
This policy applies equally to all players, regardless of gender, and is in place to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
1. Craigleith Tennis/Summer Club is dedicated to fostering a positive and respectful environment for members, guests, staff, and volunteers involved in the tennis/summer programs. We aim to promote sportsmanship, cooperation, and a sense of belonging, ensuring that all individuals feel safe and welcomed in our tennis community.
2. Members and guests are expected to understand and adhere to the following six core principles that guide our tennis programs: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship.
3. All tennis players must uphold these values and adhere to the Tennis Code of Conduct outlined below:
  1. Adhere to Tennis Rules and Etiquette
    1. Follow all tennis-related rules and regulations during practices, matches, and club events.
    2. Respect the specific rules of the facilities and venues where tennis activities take place.
  2. Honour Program Agreements
    1. Abide by all waivers and agreements related to participation in the program.
  3. Be a Positive Role Model
    1. Strive to exhibit leadership through positive behavior and sportsmanship, both on and off the court.
  4. Show Respect and Courtesy
    1. Demonstrate respect, courtesy, and support for fellow members, guests, staff, and volunteers whether on or off the court.
  5. Promote Sportsmanship and Well-being
    1. Always engage in sportsmanlike conduct and promote the emotional and physical well-being of all participants.
  6. Resolve Conflicts Peacefully
    1. Address disagreements in a respectful manner, promoting fair resolution without resorting to hostility or violence.
  7. Communicate Respectfully
    1. Communication should always be courteous and respectful, whether in person, online, or while representing the club.
Prohibited Behaviour:
1. Disrespect, bullying, and harassment in any form, whether physical, verbal, racial, or sexual, will not be tolerated, both on and off the court, including in person and online.
Confidentiality:
1. We recognize that reporting incidents can be difficult and the importance of confidentiality in handling any complaints. The confidentiality of all parties involved will be respected to the greatest extent possible during any investigation. Everyone involved in a complaint or investigation must maintain confidentiality. Breaches of confidentiality will be taken seriously.
Reporting Procedure:
1. If you feel that you or someone else has experienced inappropriate, disrespectful, or violent behavior, please follow these steps:
2. Report on the incident: Immediately report the incident to a coach, program manager, or supervisor. We encourage participants to speak with a parent or guardian, and parents/guardians should report any concerns to the Program Director.
3. Investigation: The club will investigate the incident in a fair and timely manner. We will ensure that participants and their parents/guardians are kept informed throughout the investigation and resolution process.
Consequences:
1. Any behavior deemed a violation of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action at the discretion of the Club and/or Disciplinary Committee. Potential consequences include:
2. Verbal Warning: A verbal notice to the individual involved, and the primary club member if applicable.
3. Written Notice: A written warning to the individual involved and the primary club member.
4. Suspension or Termination: In cases of more serious infractions, the Disciplinary Committee may suspend the individual from participation in programs, events, or competitions. The suspension length will vary based on the specific incident.
5. Forfeiture of Results: The forfeiture of competition results, as determined by the official or coach.
6. Suspension of Club Privileges: Temporary or permanent suspension of some or all club privileges, or termination of membership.

MEET OUR HEAD PRO
1. Margot Allan is a Tennis Canada Certified Level 2 Coach who has been coaching for 30+ years. She has been a traveling coach with the Ontario Tennis Association and has also been involved with coaching high-performance junior athletes. Plus, she was the Team Manager/Assistant Coach for the Ontario Tennis Team at the 2001 Canada Games, where her team won Gold! Before becoming a Tennis Professional, Margot competed and trained at an elite level in Ontario and was recruited to the US, where she played scholarship tennis for her College, competed at Nationals and was ranked in the Top 32 in the US her final year. Margot has been living, working and playing in the Blue Mountains for 25 years, actively coaching tennis at several locations in the Georgian Triangle.
